IIT JEE Exam: cracking the toughest of all IIT JEE 2012

The Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination or the IIT JEE Exam is every year held in India as a college entrance exam for engineering aspirants. As many as seventeen colleges take the results of IITJEE as the main criteria for admission. All the IITs include this list of seventeen colleges. Other than the IITs, there is IT BHU, Indian Institute of Technology and Indian Institute of Science Education and Research located at Mohali, Pune, Bhopal, Kolkata and Thiruvananthpuram. There are also other reputed colleges like Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology and Indian Maritime University where IIT JEE 2012 aspirants can get admission after clearing IITJEE.

IIT JEE Exam is considered to be one of the toughest exams to clear as only one aspirant out of forty five can clear it. Another advantage of clearing IIT JEE is that you need not sit for separate exams for bachelor’s in design, bachelor’s in architecture, dual degree, bachelor’s in technology, integrated master’s in science course and integrated master’s in technology.
Every year, 4-5 lakh aspirants appear for IIT JEE and this year it is expected that at least 6 lakh IIT JEE 2012 aspirants would appear for the exam. Out of so many aspirants, only thirteen thousand candidates get admission in IITs, ISM and IT BHU. Candidates who appear for IIT JEE should be less than 25 years of age. However, the age limit is relaxed for ST/SC and PD up to 30 years of age.

The main reason why IIT JEE Exam is considered to be so reputed is the fact that the number of seats available are very few when compared to students who appear for these exams and thus only the crème and the best of students are selected. Another reason is that those who pursue their higher education from the IITs, IT BHU etc get the best of jobs available in the industry and thus they get handsome salaries.

When a student appears in IIT JEE Exam, he has to clear two types of papers. Both the papers, which consist of physics, mathematics and chemistry, are multiple choice and objective in nature. They mostly cover the same syllabus as followed in ISC and CBSC. They keep changing the pattern of question paper every year in order to select only the best of students. The JEE committee is responsible for conducting these prestigious exams which bring out the meritorious students who later become the CEOs of the most reputed companies in India and abroad.
There is also another important exams AIEEE 2012 , IIT JEE 2012 and MAT 2012 . All those who qualify in the GATE 2012 exams would be eligible to get admission in the best of engineering colleges like IITs. They can pursue bachelor’s degree in Technology, Architecture and Engineering other than pursuing master’s degree in Maths, Science, Statistics and Computer Application. Additionally, one qualifies for pursuing doctoral programs in the branch of science.

There are scholarships available for doctoral students if they qualify GATE exam.
GATE preparation is done on the basis of the branches namely electrical, electronics, IT, Computers, Civil, Mechanical, etc. Books are available for the respective branches, published specially for the purpose of the entrance exam with subjective questions and answers.
